Well attended session
on how to improve healthcare

By: Mölnlycke Health Care, May 11 2012Posted in: O.R. Efficiency

At the EORNA Congress April 26 – 29th, Mölnlycke Health Care hosted a symposium titled: “Time saving during surgical procedures and simplifying logistics processes – how to improve healthcare”. Speaker was Lean Management Consultant Magnus Lord, a leading expert within Lean healthcare.

Magnus Lord presented some inspiring examples of how O.R. processes can be improved within hospitals in order to improve efficiency. The key to success can be found in implementing a continuous improvement system, where you start by setting a target, analyse what needs to be done and apply a new standard. Magnus Lord showed a few cases were hospital teams have been able to reach a 70% productivity increase by changing their working methods.

The presentation attracted a lot of interest and was very well attended by an enthusiastic audience.
